The Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences of UIN Sunan Kalijaga held a farewell and alumni orientation for prospective graduates of the third period of the 2022/2023 academic year on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. The event took place offline at the Theatrical Room of the FADIB, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. The event presented Muhammad Irsyad Furqoni, S.Hum, a counselor at BNN Samarinda who is also an alumnus of the SKI Study Program.

According to the report delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ubaidillah, S.S., M.Hum., in this period, the Faculty will be awarding degrees to 78 bachelor's and master's graduates consisting of: 17 students from the Master's program of BSA, 6 students from the Master's program of SPI, 14 students of BSA’s undergraduate program, 17 students of SKI, 11 students of IP, and 13 students of SI. Six outstanding and fastest graduates from each study program will receive awards from the Faculty. They are Fadhilah Ariani from the SKI program with a GPA of 3.81, Muhammad Khoirul Amri from BSA with a GPA of 3.74, Fira Yunika from SI with a GPA of 3.80, Siwi Anjarwati from IP with a GPA of 3.87, and Mia Mutmainah from the Master's program of BSA with a GPA of 3.85.

The event commenced with a speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Wildan, M.A., who expressed hopes that the graduates would make tangible contributions to society. He emphasized that success in the world is not solely determined by academic achievements, so the graduates should always remain optimistic in pursuing their future. He also urged the students to broaden their horizons and actively participate in social activities since there are many things that cannot be obtained solely through classroom learning.

The farewell event for prospective alumni of the third period of the 2022/2023 academic year was closed with a prayer led by Dr. Uki Sukiman, M.Ag, followed by an alumni orientation session delivered by Muhammad Irsyad Furqoni, S.Hum., guided by Nini Salwa Istiqomah, S.IP., MIR, a lecturer at the FADIB, UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The speaker gave insights related to the challenges and opportunities of being alumni and to become an Islamic entrepreneur.
