In order to strengthen international recognition in the academic field, on December 22 2023, the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta visited the Faculty of Islamic Studies of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia to discuss the follow-up collaboration that has been established so far.

On this occasion, both parties, both FADIB UIN Sunan Kalijaga and FPI UKM Malaysia agreed to discuss the technical implementation of the academic collaboration. These include joint research, student mobility, and visiting professors. To realize this agenda, each university explains the study programs they have and the specific expertise of each lecturer from each study program.

Present in this discussion were from FADIB UIN Sunan Kalijaga: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wildan, M.A, Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, Dr. Ubaidillah, M.Hum., Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Dra. Soraya Adnani, M.Sc., Secretary of the Graduate Study Program in the History of Islamic Civilization. As for FPI UKM Malaysia were Prof. Madya Dr. Ahmad Sunawari Long, Dean of FPI UKM, Prof. Madya Dr. Ermy Azziaty Rozali, Chairman/Chair of the Center for Arabic Language and Islamic Tamaddun Studies, and other leaders from the Faculty of Islamic Studies UKM.
