Keeping in touch with the students’ guardians

Tuesday, August 31, 2021, the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences will hold a new student guardian meeting for the 2021/2022 academic year. On this occasion, all leaders of the Faculty and Study Programs were also present and greeted the guardians of new students from all study programs. This event was held online through a Zoom Meeting and broadcast live streaming via the Youtube channel of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences.

The first speech was delivered by the dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Wildan, MA. He greeted the guardians of new students and welcomed all new students. He also said that choosing to study at the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences was the right choice, as evidenced by the large number of outstanding graduates. “I and all the current vice deans are the original products of this Faculty. So it's not wrong if you send your sons and daughters here," he said. He also hopes that there will be good synergy and cooperation between the Faculty, Study Programs and parents of the students so that great graduates will be born in the future.

The next speech was delivered by the vice deans. The vice dean I, Dr. Ubaidillah, MA., conveyed about academic information including curriculum, lecture mechanism, credit load, etc. The vice dean II, Dr. Uki Sukiman, M.Ag., conveyed about the available campus facilities and UKT policies. The vice dean III, Dr. Sujadi, MA., conveyed information about student affairs and existing cooperation.

The event continued with the handover of new students. The student handover from the guardian to the Faculty was represented by Isyqie Firdausah, M.Hum., and was immediately welcomed and accepted by the dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences. At the end of the event, there was a question and answer session between the guardians and the dean. Then, the event was closed with a prayer by Dr. Moh. Wakhid Hidayat, SS., MA.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, there are 451 new students enroll at the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences. in detail, there are 100 students of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program (BSA), 90 students of Islamic History and Culture Study Program (SKI), 112 students of Library Science Study Program ( IP), 92 students of English Literature (SI), and 33 students of Arabic Language and Literature Master Program (BSA) and 24 students of Islamic Civilization History Master Program (SPI). If the total is added with students who are still active, then in this 2021/2022 academic year there are 3232 students studying at the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences.
