Graduation and Briefing of Prospective Alumni, Graduates Period I Academic Year 2021/2022

The Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences UIN Sunan Kalijaga held the Graduation and Briefing of Prospective Alumni Graduates Period I Academic Year 2021/2022 on Tuesday, November 2th, 2021. The activity was held online via Zoom Meeting and offline in the dean's meeting room. The event was attended by faculty leaders, study program leaders, prospective graduates and guardians of graduates. Also invited to this event, Fachri Hamzah Pangestu, SS. from Ruangguru PT. Ruang Raya Indonesia, as the speaker.

In his speech, Dr. Muhammad Widan, MA. as the dean, congratulated the prospective graduates, as well as the guardians of the prospective graduates. He also conveyed his pride to the prospective graduates, because they have successfully completed their studies at the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Studies with satisfactory results. In his speech, he advised to be proud to be an alumnus of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. "Grow a sense of pride, self-confidence, don't feel inferior, and always think positively about yourself," he said.

The event continued with remarks from the graduates represented by Fahmi Alwi, prospective graduates from the BSA study program. It was continued with remarks from the representative guardian of the graduates delivered by Mr. Ir. Edy Wandiatmoko. He expressed his gratitude to the faculty for their hard work in educating prospective graduates. Hopefully the prospective graduates can achieve a better future armed with the knowledge obtained from the faculty.

The event continued with the briefing of prospective graduates guided by Ulyati Retno Sari,SS., M.Hum. as moderator. On this occasion, Fachri Hamzah Pangestu, SS. as a resource person who delivered material on how to build an effective personality in managing a career in the future. In his presentation, Fachri mentioned the steps in developing yourself, namely knowing yourself, making life plans, always thirsting to learn and gain knowledge, and always maintaining physical and mental health. “Take every opportunity you get, then do your best. And also focus only on what we can control."

In this period, the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences graduated 75 graduates, namely 24 graduates from the BSA study program, 14 graduates from the SKI study program, 16 graduates from the IP study program, 9 graduates from the SI study program, 8 graduates from the BSA graduate program, and 4 graduates from the SPI graduate program. As reported by Dr. Ubaidillah, SS., M. Hum., as the vice dean for academic affairs. Of these 75 students, 69% got GPA above 3.51. As for the length of study, as many as 36% of graduates in this period completed their studies in less than 4 years.
