The Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences held the graduation and briefing of alumni period II academic year 2020/2021 on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, online. This event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences as well as all other faculty deans, study program officials, parents of the graduates, and of course the graduates. The the graduation and briefing of 84 graduates invited Drs. H. Amar Ma'ruf Halim (Buya Ma'ruf), Marketing Director of Penata Rihlah-Pena Tour Jakarta as the guest speaker.

In his speech, Dr. Muhammad Wildan, M.A. as the Dean of Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, advised that the degree obtained by the graduates could be likened to a key that could be used to open many houses. Whether to use the key or not, it depended on the owner. In other words, he said, whether the graduates wanted to use it to hone yourself to be better or not depended on who had the degree. Getting a degree was one step, he emphasized. He hoped that the graduates would continue to the next step, which was to continue to hone themselves.

Drs. Syaifuddin Juhri as the parent representative of the graduates in his speech conveyed his infinite gratitude to all staff of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences who had guided the graduates to their achievement. He also apologized if during their time studying at the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, the graduates might have made many mistakes.

Luthfi Rofiyatun representing the graduates in her speech also expressed her gratitude and apologized for the mistakes they made to the entire academic community of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, especially the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Studies. Luthfi also asked for blessing on behalf of the graduates, hopefully they would be given the opportunity to take part in the society, regardless the type of job/work they got.

According to the report submitted by Vice Dean I, Dr. Ubaidillah, SS, M. Hum., in this period, the Faculty inaugurated 84 bachelor and master degree graduates (20 BSA students, 22 SKI students, 24 IP students , 11 SI students, 2 Masters in BSA, and 5 Masters in SPI). Of the 84 faculty graduates, 21 of them got cum laude (4 BSA students, 1 SKI student, and 16 IP students). The three best graduates from each study program received awards from the faculty, SKI students Sasadara with GPA of 3.56, BSA students Rafika Maulida with GPA of 3.73, and IP students Luthfi Rofiyatun with GPA of 3.87.

The graduation ceremony was closed with a prayer led by the Vice Dean II, Dr. Uki Sukiman, M.Ag.. The event was continued with alumni briefing by the guest speaker, Drs. H. Amar Ma'ruf Halim (Buya Ma'ruf) guided by moderator Dr. Ening Herniti, M. Hum. Buya Ma'ruf explained and outlined 9 main keys to preparing for their career: mastering a foreign language, don't just be a specialist but be a multitalented human being, be a resilient and tough person, learn to be confident, be brave to promote themselves, don't stutter in technology, be active on social media, build a network, and don't be allergic to participating in various professional trainings.
