Yogyakarta, February 20, 2024 — The Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta recently held an inauguration ceremony for the new leadership of its Student Organizations (Ormawa). The offline event, attended by students, lecturers, and invited guests, served as an important moment to strengthen student participation in academic activities and cultural development within the campus environment.
During the lively ceremony, the new leadership of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences Student Organizations was officially inaugurated. They will lead and coordinate various student activities for the upcoming term. The inauguration also provided a platform for students to express their interests and talents in academic and cultural fields.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wildan, M.A., highlighted the crucial role of student organizations in strengthening the bond between students and the faculty, as well as in developing potential in academic and cultural domains. He also emphasized the importance of students acting as agents of change who can contribute to advancing campus life and the wider community.
Meanwhile, the newly elected Chair of the Student Organizations at the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, U. Aulia Rahman, expressed his commitment to carrying out this mandate to the best of his ability. He stated that the new leadership would strive to organize various beneficial activities for both students and the surrounding community.
The planned activities by the Faculty’s Student Organizations include seminars, academic discussions, art and cultural workshops, and other creative programs. These initiatives aim to enhance students’ academic quality while broadening their cultural perspectives.
