SHAH ALAM, MALAYSIA — A team of lecturers from Library Sciences UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, consisting of Marwiyah, Labibah, Thoriq Tri Prabowo, and Lilih Deva Martias, participated as presenters at the prestigious 10th International Library And Information Science Society Conference (I-LISS 2026). The team, represented by Mariyah, MLIS., shared their latest findings.

At the conference, the team presented the results of their study titled, "A Comparative Analysis of Digital Literacy Competencies Among Generation Z Across Demographic Segments in Indonesia". This quantitative research involved 943 Gen Z respondents from Sleman Regency to measure their level of digital proficiency.

The main findings of this research showed that, in general, the digital literacy competence of Gen Z in the study location is in the 'Very Good' category (score 3.3), encompassing both technical skills and critical thinking aspects. A demographic analysis revealed that:

 * Gender: There are no significant differences between males and females.

 * Age: The group of high school students possesses the highest level of competence.

 * Geography: Gen Z in urban and suburban areas have higher abilities compared to those in rural regions.

This participation reinforces the commitment of UIN Sunan Kalijaga lecturers to provide scientific contributions on a global level, particularly in responding to digital literacy challenges in preparation for "Golden Indonesia 2045".
