Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences UIN Sunan Kalijaga Represents Indonesia at the 10th I-LISS International Conference in Malaysia

SHAH ALAM (MALAYSIA) — A delegation of academics from the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences (FADIB) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta actively participated in the 10th International Library and Information Science Society (I-LISS) International Conference. This prestigious international conference takes place from August 26 to 28, 2026, at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
Centering on the theme "Thriving Through Transformation: Innovative, Digital, and AI-Driven Futures for Librarianship", the global forum gathers experts, researchers, academics, and practitioners in library and information science from across the region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, and the South Korea.
During the event, the Dean of Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Nurdin, S.Ag., S.S., M.A., delivered a address as a Keynote Speaker. He shared The Usage of AI and the relevance of Information Fiqh across Islamic University Students in Indonesia

Alongside the keynote address, two lecturers presented their latest research findings as panel presenters:
 * Thoriq Tri Prabowo, Ph.D.
 * Marwiyah, M.LIS.
Their presentations focused on innovative digital library services and the evolving role of librarians in an AI-driven era.
The Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences delegation was further supported by faculty administrative staff, Siti Zainia Faridha, M.Si. and Edwin Tri Januarsyah, S.E. Their presence focused on building international academic networks, exploring joint research opportunities, and expanding institutional partnerships between UIN Sunan Kalijaga and university partners across Asia.
This international participation underscores Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta's commitment to strengthening its global academic presence and contributing to the future of library and information science.
