Leaders of the Adab and Cultural Sciences Faculty and Head of Study Programs conductedBenchmarkingfor Academic Quality Improvement in the Adab Lecturers Association Forum (ADIA) in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan

Adab Lecturers Association Forum (ADIA) held an annual meeting entitled “International Conference on Islamic and Glocalization: A Way to Religious and Cultural Moderation” which took place in Best Western Hotel of Palangkaraya on 29-31st May 2022. The participants consisted of faculty leaders and heads of programs among adab faculties under the State of Islamic Higher Education of Indonesia. The purpose of this meeting is to improve the quality of education based on the spirit of ‘kampus merdeka’ and religious moderation.

Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences of Sunan Kalijaga was represented by faculty leaders and heads of study programs, consisting of Arabic Language and Literature (bachelor's and master's degree), SPI (bachelor's and master's degree), Library Science and English Literature that led directly by Dr. Muhammad Wildan, MA, the dean of faculty. In this forum, they discussed and exchanged ideas about the development and challenges of each program to advance the quality of higher education, especially regarding the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus program from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition, some delegations from the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences of Sunan Kalijaga became the presenters at international conferences organized by the committee. This is an effort to improve the recognition of the lecturers of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in global level.
